So what is Swagbucks? Is Swagbucks legit or a Scam? Can you really earn money from this website? If you are just getting started online and are looking for a way to make money online, you probably have seen Swagbucks in your research. I’m going to give you my honest and thorough review of Swagbucks, so you can decide if it is a fit for you.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks has been in business for 14 years as of today with an A+ better business bureau rating. It is a consumer rewards program that gives you Swagbucks (SB) points for completing a small task that you can convert into gift cards or PayPal cash. Some task are things that you would typically do online like shopping, searching the internet, or watching videos. Each SB is equal to 1 cent, so if you have 100 SB, that is equal to $1.00 or if you have 2500 SB that is equal to $25.00. Swagbucks offers a $10 sign up bonus when you open an account with them, but you have to ensure you confirm your email.

How Do You Earn Swagbucks?

Swagbucks makes it easy for you to earn SB when you log in to your account at the top of the page is a Daily Goal of how to earn at least 80 SB or more, and you reach this goal in the time allotted by completing task form some or all of these six categories:

  • Answering Surveys
  • Shopping
  • Discovering Offers
  • Watching Content Videos
  • Search the Web
  • Playing Games

Answering Surveys: The least you can earn with taking surveys is 1 SB. Each survey gives you the time of how long each survey is to complete and how much SB you will receive. (Picture is shown below.) The downside to taking surveys you have to qualify for the survey and finish it in order to earn the SB. To see if you qualify, they ask you questions regarding your gender, age, race (optional to answer), etc. and if they reached their quota of survey takers for that survey based on that category, you would be disqualified. The good thing about being disqualified for the survey is SB will sometimes reward you with 1 or 2 SB for trying.

Shopping: Swagbuck shopping is similar to Rakuten, where you will sign in to SB and start your shopping from their site. You can earn SB for every dollar you spend at major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and more. Not every store will offer the same rewards in SB; when you find the store you want to shop at, you will see below the store picture of how many SB you will earn for each dollar spent. Please see the example below.

Discover Offers: To earn SB in the Discover tab, you will have to sign up to try products, apps, websites, in-store deals, and more. In this tab, you can earn a lot of SB, but you have to pay for the product in the offer and may have to sign up for a trial. For example, you can earn 400 SB for trying ABC Mouse. You will see a picture of the offer, and below it, you will see how many SB it is worth. I’ve also provided an example of in-store offers as well; all you do is add the offer to your list then upload the receipt showing your purchase of the item, then you should get rewarded within a couple of days. Make sure that you read the fine print before you purchase the item. See below:

Watching Videos: Yes, you can earn SB for just watching videos. These videos are usually advertisements for products, food, star entertainment, updated news, and more. You can earn between 1-3 SB for watching videos, but the only downside is that some of the videos are long to only get 3 SB in the end.

Search the Web: Swagbucks pays you for using their search engine for your regular searches on the internet. The SB you can earn using their search engine can vary and depend on the number of searches you perform on that day. To earn with SB search engine daily, I would recommend using it for all your searches.

Playing Games: You can actually get paid SB for playing games you already play. The games are online cash games, where you will have to deposit money in order to earn SB. As of today, it looks like you can earn 4 SB for every $1 spent. (See Below) There are also Swagbuck games you can play for free and earn up to 10 SB each time you play.

More Ways To Earn With Swagbucks

You can also earn more Swagbucks by referring others to SB, using the SwagButton, and finding SwagCodes.

Refer Others: When you refer someone to SB, you and your referral can earn 500 SB, which is equal to $5 when your referral earns 500 SB in the first 30 days. You will also receive 10% of their SB earnings for as long as they stay active with SB.

SwagButton: SB button is similar to Rakuten button on the top right corner of your internet browser. The way this works is you download the extension to your web browser and activate it. When you browse the internet or go shopping, a little pop-up window will tell you how much SB you can earn for every dollar at the site. For example, let’s say you are shopping at Best Buy website, as soon as you go on the site a pop-up window will inform you that you can earn 2 SB for every dollar spent and if you know you are going to make a purchase you can activate the offer. If you do a lot of shopping online, this is an excellent way to get cashback rewards.

You can also earn 100 SB for every referral that adds the Swagbutton.

Swagcodes: Are codes you can find on Swagbucks blog, Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, the Swagbucks site, and more. The codes look like promo codes you would use for a discount for your purchase, once you find a code you will enter it in the Swagcode box to redeem it and see how many SB you earned. If you check out SB social media platforms, it provides you with different ways of how to get Swagcodes. SB also has Swagbucks live where they ask you trivia questions to win SB and find Swagcodes.

Swagbucks Rewards

As I stated before, you can redeem your SB for gift cards to a store of your choice or transfer your earnings to PayPal. Gift cards can be in the amount of $1. Remember that each SB is equal to 1 cent, so 100 SB is equal to $1. SB has a variety of stores you can get gift cards for, such as Amazon, Walmart, Domino’s, Bath and Body Works, Southwest Airlines, and more. They also have Visa gift cards, PayPal, and you also have the option to donate your earnings Charity. Swagbucks makes it easy to redeem your earned SB.

Pros and Cons of Swagbucks

  • Swagbucks has a variety of ways you can earn money.
  • Get paid for completing things you already do online.
  • Easy way to earn money.

  • Some rewards can take a week or two to post to your account.
  • Some tasks can be time-consuming.
  • Rewards value can be to low.

Swagbucks Support

You can get support through Swagbucks by going to the Help tab and searching for your answer, chatting with a representative, or submitting a request. The quickest ways are by searching for your answer or using the chat.

How To Sign Up For Swagbucks and How Much Does It Cost?

Swagbucks is FREE to join, and at this time, they are offering 1000 SB ($10) when you sign up and confirm your email. There are no upsells after signing up. The only money you will spend after signing up is by shopping for a purchase you need, sign up for an offer that can benefit you, or playing games for money. All of these options are at your own discretion.

My Final Opinion of Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a legit opportunity to earn money online, but the process can be slow to earn passive income. It is something you can use to do things you already do online and make money during the process. Although the earning potential is low, you can rack up on SB and cash in a good reward that you can use for other purchases or add to your savings.

I give Swagbucks a thumbs up!
